Must or Bust Baby Products

The time has arrived for me and Michael to start buying the necessities (and maybe some non-necessities) for our baby. We know that a lot of you have children of your own or at least are around children enough to know what baby products you like and don't like. So we're coming to you for suggestions.

What are the products that you like the most, and what are some products that you suggest we stay away from? Are there any specific products that we might not think about that you just love?

For example, we have heard that a breast feeding pillow is a must. We've also heard that diaper genies are a bust.

Six Month Doctor Visit

I had my '6' month check up yesterday. It was the fastest doctor's visit ever. I was in and out in a matter of 30 minutes--and that includes the 20 minutes it took for me to ask my list of questions for the doctor (including questions like: When will I get my glucose test? Can I get my hair highlighted? etc.)

It was a great visit. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat (165 beats/minute). My doctor also felt my belly to see how well the uterus is growing and he measured my belly with a measuring tape (he did that part so fast though that I completely missed it...Mike told me later that he did that).

I go in for my next visit in 4 weeks and then I start going in every 2 weeks after that. Yeah!

Ultrasound Pictures

Here are my most recent ultrasound pictures. I know they're kind of hard to decipher so here is an explanation of each picture:

Top: The baby's head and a little bit of her chest. You can see the profile of her face and she is making a fist with her left hand which is right up against her nose.

Middle: The baby's head. You can see her profile again, it looks like her head is looking down a little more than the top picture. Her right hand is brought up near her nose.

Bottom: Her two feet! This is a great picture of her right foot. You can even see her little (and big!) toes.

Also, if you click on the picture it should become larger so that you can see it better.
